The customer's challenges
The customer owns approximately 25 companies and subsidiaries. Each company must do a bank reconciliation on the first of each month to check if everything matches the previous month. This means that for each company it must be checked whether the transactions in the financial system and the bank match. This is a complex and time-consuming process that is done manually for each company.
Therefore, the customer wanted to automate this complex process to improve efficiency and save time.
An effective RPA solution
Baker Tilly assisted the customer with both consultancy and the development of an RPA that automated the customer's bank reconciliation process. The new solution eliminates most of the manual processes and only involves the customer if there is a discrepancy between a transaction on the bank account and the financial system.
